A Rickmansworth leisure centre has been given the highest rating possible for its services following an inspection by the national quality scheme.

The William Penn Leisure Centre, located on Shepherds Lane in Mill End, is run by Everyone Active in partnership with Three Rivers District Council (TRDC).

Now, following a rigorous assessment by Sport England’s quality initiative Quest, which included mystery shopper visits and a one-day on-site assessment, they’ve been given ‘excellent’ status, the scheme’s highest ranking.

Jointly awarded the title with another leisure centre in the district, South Oxhey’s South Oxhey Leisure Centre, staff are celebrating the achievement, which is a testament to their hard work and quality of service.

Everyone Active’s area contact manager, John Sewell, said: “We are really pleased to have been recognised by Quest for not one, but two centres in the area.

“To have achieved an excellent ranking is a testament to the ongoing hard work and passion of our colleagues to providing a top-class service.

TRDC’s lead member for leisure, councillor Chris Lloyd said: “I am delighted that both William Penn and South Oxhey Leisure Centres have been awarded the Quest Excellent ranking. I would like to encourage more residents to come and use the centres.”
