A doctor who worked at Hillingdon Hospital has been struck off for the second time.
In February 2023, when Dr Babatunde Aranmolate was working as a locum GP at Hillingdon Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre, he removed medications from a cupboard when he did not have permission to do so. The medications were intended for trust patients only and the person he gave them to, Ms A, with whom he had a close personal relationship, did not require emergency treatment.
Dr Aranmolate subsequently asked two colleagues to provide false statements to suggest that the incident had been dealt with by a verbal warning.
Ms A reported Dr Aranmolate to the General Medical Council.
A Medical Practitioners Tribunal in May 2025 heard that Dr Aranmolate had a “history of dishonesty”. He was erased from the medical register in 2009 but reinstated in 2017.
The tribunal concluded that Dr Aranmolate’s misconduct was of such a serious nature that erasure was the only appropriate sanction.
