STOLEN GOATS: Seven goats stolen from Amersham farm in late-night raid (VIDEO)

Published on: 27th October 2022   |   By: Darius Morgan   |   Category: Uncategorized

An animal attraction in Amersham has been left devastated after thieves broke in and stole all seven of the farm’s beloved goats.

Kew Little Pigs in Amersham, Bucks proudly cared for the tame animals, and visitors loved to stroke Ariel, Gabriel, Domino, Bacardi, Bailey, Violet and Georgia.

In the early hours of October 26, CCTV footage shows the lights of vehicles raiding the farm.

As well as being caught on CCTV, the thieves left behind ropes that they had used to tether the animals, who would have been sleeping when the incident occurred.

Farm owner Olivia Mikhail says that she is ‘petrified’ that the pet animals will be slaughtered for meat, and said that recently she has received phone calls from people asking if they had any meat for sale.

“They are part of our family and I can’t stop thinking about what might be happening to them.

“These are tame pet goats, and they have a happy life on the farm.

“We take security incredibly seriously so this is obviously a planned raid by someone who has come and seen what measures we have in place. It feels like a terrible violation.

“If anyone knows where they are please, please get in touch with the police or us directly. We just want them home.”

Thames Valley Police are now investigating the incident, and are working with Kew Little Pigs to catch the culprits.

A spokesperson for the police said:  “If anyone has any information that may help this investigation, you can make a report by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43220481706.”

Kew Little Pigs opened at Old Amersham Farm in 2010, and is an award-winning haven for the attraction’s micro pigs, as well as a host of other animals.

The goats were a relatively new addition to the farm, and the pampered creatures arrived earlier this year as a surprise for the staff from Olivia.
