Hillingdon is once again the top west London borough for securing pupils their preferred secondary school places offering 94 per cent one of their preferred choices.
This impressive figure positions Hillingdon above the London average of 93 percent, with 67 per cent of pupils receiving their first choice which is also higher than the London average of 66 per cent.
Cllr Susan O’Brien, Hillingdon Council’s cabinet member for education and children and youth services, said education will always remain a top priority for the council.
“I am proud of the work that has gone into ensuring children are offered a secondary school place in Hillingdon.
“Most of our local children have received their preferred choice, and this is all thanks to the council’s continued investment in high quality education for the borough’s young people.
“Education will always remain a top priority, which is why we have committed to a further £20.8 million to create more school places through our school expansion programme.”
