Snow has fallen across Hertfordshire today, Sunday 24 January.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice, with heavy snow showers expected for the rest of the day and into the evening.
The Met Office said: “An area of rain and snow will linger over southeast England Sunday leading to some icy stretches and some travel disruption.”
The weather forecaster warned:
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
