Nothing quite says community like a room full of neighbours sharing good food, great company, and a whole lot of kindness – and that’s exactly what impact BeeKind Services is having on the community.
One such example was at the BeeKind Services Community Christmas Lunch, which was held on Tuesday, December 2, at Chipperfield Village Hall.
The hall was buzzing with conversation as past and present BeeKind clients joined together with their families, carers, and residents for an afternoon that felt more like a big family gathering.
The lunch once again captured BeeKind’s mission perfectly: bringing people together, easing loneliness, and reminding everyone that kindness really does make life brighter.
Guests were treated to a traditional roast with all the trimmings, followed by sing-along festive favourites that had the whole hall joining in.
The hugely popular free raffle returned as well, made possible by generous donations from neighbours and local businesses.
Founder Louise Hammond set the tone for the afternoon, welcoming guests with warm words and thanking the community for its incredible support throughout the years.
Speaking to KINGSnews, she said: “We see every day how much difference a shared chat or a friendly meal can make. This is about celebrating that – and celebrating each other.”
Louise founded the charity with a mission to help support more elderly residents get back into their normal routine after Covid-19, by offering services such as shopping, home services, and companionship.
