POLICE APPEAL: Man taken to hospital with serious injuries following incident in Borehamwood

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident in Borehamwood this morning (Tuesday, October 12), during which a man sustained serious injuries.

Police were called at around 4.30am to report that a man aged in his 30s had been injured in the Stratfield Road area.

Officers attended and located the victim near Worcester House, with suspected stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition at this time.

Detective Sergeant Richard Hooley, from the Local Crime Unit, said: “A woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody. Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances around what happened and to trace anyone else involved. If you have any information which may assist the investigation, please get in touch with police straightaway.

“I understand news of this incident will cause concern among the local community, but I would like to try and reassure people that we believe this be an isolated incident. Officers remain in the area, so please do speak with them if you are worried.”
