The Watford-based multi-award-winning Dan Tien Performing Arts Studios staged a spectacular performance last month.
Movers and Shakers was performed at The Radlett Centre on Sunday, May 21, and starred 120 of The Dan Tien’s students, aged seven to 18.
Movers and Shakers was inspired by men, women and children who have changed the world, with performances inspired by Neil Armstrong, Greta Thunburg, Amelia Earhart, and more.
Among the audience was councillor Amanda Grimston, who said: “I was absolutely blown away. The talent on stage and the passion shown by both the cast and teaching faculty was so inspiring.”
Cllr Grimston also awarded the Mayor’s Shield, which goes to a student who has shown outstanding commitment, dedication and attitude across all their classes. This year it was awarded to 14-year-old Violet Bilton, with additional prizes awarded to Milly Auchincloss, Charlotte Cook, Florence Skelton, Honey Kingshott, Florence Eastwood, Keira Brigden, Daisy Isted, Daisy Dennis, Florence Osbourne, Imogen Bailey, Lillyenna Cooper and Ava Wilson.
