Red Trust Bushey’s Mia Handley awarded a Hertfordshire COVID Hero’s award for all the work the Red Trust Foodbank did for our community throughout the pandemic.

On Saturday, July 16, Mia Handley and Miriam McCulloch attended the celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and award ceremony for the Hertfordshire’s COVID Heroes.

Mia collected the award on behalf of The Red Trust Bushey Foodbank in recognition for all their work they did throughout the Pandemic.

As chairman of Hertfordshire County Council, County Councillor Annie Brewster said, the Hertfordshire COVID Hero’s really do represent the vibrant rainbows and shining stars who got our communities through such a challenging time.

Red Trust Bushey were delighted to be awarded such a special award and recognise all the hard work Mia and her team of volunteers do every week to ensure the foodbank is well stocked, run efficiently and always a friendly and welcoming place to come to.

If you would like to support any of the work of The Red Trust Bushey foodbank or community café, please do get in touch with Miriam at info@redtrustbushey.org

They are always looking for volunteers and welcome any support in the form of your time of donations to the foodbank.
