Residents are being told to look out for road closures around St Albans Road in Hemel Hempstead following reports of a serious road traffic collision.
Earlier today (Tuesday, May 20), Dacorum Police shared on their Facebook page: “We are currently at the scene of a collision in St Albans Road, Hemel Hempstead. Road closures are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.”
This was followed by Herts County Council Highways sharing that St Albans Road was closed in both directions between the Magic Roundabout and Jarman Way.
Police have now confirmed that a road traffic collision has taken place, with several emergency vehicles attending the scene.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “Police were called at 1.40pm today (Tuesday, May 20) to reports of a collision in St Albans Road, Hemel Hempstead.
“Two vehicles were involved. Officers are at the scene, alongside the ambulance service. Road closures are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.”
