A charity group who performed on Britain’s Got Talent has been confirmed for the upcoming Kings Langley Carnival.
The event takes place on The Common on Saturday, June 21.
Electric Umbrella, who took the Britain’s Got Talent stage by storm, will be the main act at the event.
The local music charity hopes to “break down barriers and challenge perceptions” to create a “truly inclusive society”.
On Saturday, March 22, viewers of Britain’s Got Talent watched on in awe as members of Electric Umbrella, together with co-founder Tom Billington, took to the stage to perform their original song.
The smiles on the performers’ faces only grew wider as judge Simon Cowell reached over and smashed the Golden Buzzer, sending the group through to the live shows.
Heading to their social media, a spokesperson for the charity said: “We can’t believe it – we got the Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell!
“This moment was more than just a performance – it was a celebration of possibility, inclusion, and the power of music to break barriers. Thank you for being part of this journey.”
Other local talent on display includes local primary and senior schools, who will keep the crowds entertained with popular songs.
Also providing entertainment for all, the Kings Langley Community Choir will be singing from their extensive repertoire of pop, gospel, folk and traditional songs
The Revelation Majorettes and the Skehill Academy of Irish Dance will both take to the stage at the popular annual event.
Also performing will be Salsa Tropicana and the Chevtones.
