A Watford man has been charged after breaching his Community Protection Notice (CPN).
Officers were called to the Job Centre in Beecham Grove yesterday (Tuesday, July 23) following reports of a man allegedly being abusive towards staff.
Police arrived at the scene and upon further enquiries, identified the suspect was in breach of his CPN which forbids him from entering the town centre.
Matthew King, 53, of Brightwell Road, was charged with failure to comply with a CPN . He was bailed to St Albans Magistrates’ Court where he will appear on Tuesday, August 6.
Sergeant Karl Diggins, from the Watford Community Safety Unit, said: “Failing to comply with a CPN is a criminal offence and can result in being arrested. We will continue to take action against anyone who breaches these notices in an effort to reduce anti-social behaviour in the town.”
