Thousands are expected to line the streets of St Albans for a new festival that will take place for the first time next month.
The St Albans Spring Festival on St Peter’s Street on Sunday, May 18, will feature a number of activities and entertainment.
Attendees can expect live music, theatre performances in the street, food and drink from around the world, arts and crafts, and much more.
There will be a main stage with live music from 11am with a range of performers including All That Soul, The Dohl Drummers, St Albans Musical Theatre Company and many more.
There will also be arts and crafts in a create and display zone including willow weaving, upcycled friendship bracelet making, pressed flower lanterns and many more activities.
The Spring Festival will also feature a coding and video game pop-up, where those interested in tech and coding can learn coding or video game design with Code Ninjas.
Councillor Anthony Rowlands, lead for events, said: “The Spring Festival will mark the start of the warmer months and with the Cracker in November, our events will book-end the outdoor season. Residents and visitors will have an abundance of opportunities to get out and about and socialise with their friends and neighbours.”
The event will replace the St Albans Festival, which usually takes place in September. For more information on the Spring Festival, visit www.enjoystalbans.com/event/st-albans-spring-festival/
