Pinner based golfer Matt Wallace had a disappointing end to his year when he missed the cut at the Alfred Dunhill Championship at the Leopard Creek Country Club in South Africa earlier this month. Wallace, pictured right, made an encouraging start to the event when he carded an even-par 72 on his first round. Unfortunately for the 26-year-old, his hopes began to fade and he finished the second round and the tournament with a disappointing four over par. After his early exit in South Africa, Wallace took to Twitter to sum up his year. He tweeted: “Disappointing end to my 2016 calendar year. It’s been great in places and some not so, just like my scoring over the past few events. I’ll get better because of this experience.” Wallace also played recently in the Alps Tour Grand Final in Italy, winning for the sixth time this year, before heading to the second stage of the European Tour qualifying school.
