A woman from Bushey has hit national headlines claiming that yoga is the key to keeping fit and healthy along with slowing down the ageing process.

Yoga teacher Natalie Sassoon, 54 from Bushey struggled with her weight throughout her teenage years but has changed her mindset and body through healthy eating, exercise and yoga.

Speaking to BusheyNews, Natalie said: “Yoga has many benefits both psychical and mentally. It helps to slow down the ageing process through flexibility, strength and balance.

“If things start to go wrong in your body you are quicker to become aware of it. Yoga can also encourage people to make better lifestyle choices, eat the right foods, follow a healthy diet and get plenty of sleep.

“Yoga alone has many advantages, but to benefit the most you should combine it with a healthy lifestyle.”

Natalie began her journey in the fitness industry with exercise to music classes, when she attended a workshop on how yoga works she immediately knew she wanted to focus her time and energy on yoga.

She is now a senior yoga teacher and reflexologist who goes into offices and teaches yoga classes to desk-based corporate workers in areas surrounding Bushey.

Natalie said: “One of the offices I have been going to for nearly six years, I get the same people coming week on week and they absolutely love it. They have seen huge improvements and great benefits from doing yoga classes.”

Natalie lives in Bushey with her daughter Ashton, 25 and son Brandon, 23 who also enjoy yoga.
