TWO ARRESTED: Man left with fractured eye socket in unprovoked Watford attack

Two men, including one from Bushey, have been charged with GBH with intent in relation to an unprovoked attack in Watford before Christmas. 

Police investigating the assault have released an image of a man they would like to identify as part of their enquiries.

A 19-year-old man sustained a fractured eye socket and injuries which are likely to be permanent in the attack.

The incident occurred at McDonald’s in Elton Way, shortly before 4am on December 15.

Izzet Erpolat, aged 22, from Bushey, has been charged with GBH with intent. He has been released on conditional bail and is due to appear at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on March 9.

Nezir Selita, aged 21, from High Street in Edgware has also been charged with GBH with intent.

He pleaded not guilty during a pre-trial preparation hearing and has been remanded in custody, to appear before St Albans Crown Court on June 8.

Investigator Charlotte Hartley, from the Local Crime Unit said: “We have been conducting numerous enquiries since the incident was reported and have made two arrests as a result. We would now like to identify the man pictured, as he may have further information which could assist the investigation. If you recognise him, please get in contact.”
