An amateur theatre group from Kings Langley have been recognised for their strength over the past year in surviving the pandemic.

The Kings Langley Musical Theatre Company (KLMTC) received a certificate from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) recognising the dedication of the group to keep going throughout the pandemic.

Annie Hertler-Smith director of KLMTC said the certificate is a way to boost morale and give groups the strength they need as restrictions as eased.

She said: “The purpose of NODA to support amateur drama communities. The certificates are a nice way of saying that NODA is still here and we know you have had a tough time but we are here to support you going forward.”

KLMTC are also looking forward to the months ahead as they plan summer workshops and next year’s production.

Annie said: “Our plans short term going to run some summer workshops but the problem at the moment is amateur groups can’t sign so have planned a dance workshop.”

KLMTC are always looking for new members email klmtc@outlook.com for more info.
