WITNESSES NEEDED: Did you see a man crack a rear windscreen in Abbots Langley?

Two men have been arrested after an incident in Abbots Langley where a man was allegedly assaulted and a rear windscreen was smashed while a child sat in the backseat.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the incident, which occurred in Chequers Lane at around 12.50pm on Friday, June 11.

It was reported that the occupants of two vehicles were involved in an altercation, during which a man was allegedly assaulted, sustaining an injury to his hand.

The rear windscreen of one of the vehicles was also smashed during the incident, shattering glass onto a young child who was in the back seat. The child was checked by the ambulance service and was thankfully not injured.

The two men who were arrested in connection with the incident have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

It is understood that a number of people witnessed the incident and officers are keen to speak to them as part of their enquiries. If you have information which could assist, please come forward.
