WATER WORKS: Northwood junction to shut for nearly six weeks due to roadworks

Published on: 17th February 2024   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

A junction in Northwood Hills is currently closed for roadworks which are expected to continue well into March.

Closures are currently in place on Potter Street Hill, near to the junction with Hillside Road, after work began on Monday, February 12.

The roadworks are being carried out by Affinity Water and consist of renewal works of their existing utilities. They are expected to be complete by Friday, March 22, though may be extended in the case of delays.

In an email sent to affected residents before works began, a spokesperson for utility company HVSS said: “To facilitate the process, there won’t be any traffic redirected through the private roads.

“Instead, we will implement a phased road closure, a plan approved by both Hillingdon and Harrow councils. In the coming week, we will install advanced warning signs, and courtesy letters will be delivered.”
