COMPASSIONATE CAFE: Croxley meet-up supports residents affected by loss

Published on: 17th February 2024   |   By: Sophia Sheera   |   Category: Uncategorized

Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care’s (RGPHC) Compassionate Café, which is run in partnership with and takes place at The Kitchen in Croxley, is celebrating its second anniversary.

Over the past two years, the monthly event has supported people who have been affected by loss.

A Compassionate Café attendee said: “It was wonderful to meet like-minded people who understood what I was going through. It gave me the space to talk about how I was feeling, and where I could share my memories and my experiences.”

Alison May, community engagement manager at RGPHC, said: “When we started our first Compassionate Café, it was with an ambition to reach and support people in the community who have been affected by loss.

“We didn’t know how it would be received or how many people would take that brave first step to attend, but we’re absolutely delighted with how it has grown over the past two years.”

The sessions take place between 10am and 11am on the first Friday of every month. Find out more at www.shorturl.at/qvyQU
