The founder of a Garston-based charity has been chosen for a prestigious new role by the Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire Robert Voss CBE.
Enoch Kanagaraj BEM is now a Deputy Lieutenant and will assist Lord-Lieutenant Voss in carrying out his public duties.
Enoch is the founder and chief executive of One Vision, a charity which brings together people from different cultural backgrounds to address the needs of the community. The charity develops services and initiatives to tackle food poverty, mental health issues, social marginalisation and youth needs.
Posting on Facebook, Enoch said: “I am truly humbled and honoured to share that I have been appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant for Hertfordshire, with the approval of His Majesty King Charles III. This appointment is a profound recognition of the collective effort of so many people who dedicate their lives to strengthening our communities.
“Through One Vision charity, I have been blessed to work alongside inspiring leaders from faith, health, and public sectors who share a common purpose — to create a fairer, healthier and more connected Hertfordshire for everyone.”
