Support for vulnerable local people was the theme of this year’s gathering of the Bushey Interfaith Forum.
Councillors, residents and religious representatives met to discuss how faiths can help those in poverty or isolation.
The event, which took place on Thursday, November 27, brought together leaders from Bushey’s Catholic, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Protestant and Muslim communities.
The event included a candle-lighting ceremony, speakers, conversation and reflection.
Deputy Mayor of Hertsmere and Bushey Lib Dem councillor Mia Handley said: “One of Bushey’s greatest strengths is diversity of faith but unity of purpose. The forum brings us together to explore the many important things we have in common.
“It was really rewarding to discuss how different religious traditions provide compassion and care for people in need.
“In these troubling times, interfaith is more important than ever.”
