Iceland’s Hemel Hempstead store has rebranded as ‘Tangoland’ to celebrate the return of Tango Cherry to Iceland stores.
Shoppers are now able to get their hands on bottles and cans of Tango Cherry products exclusively from Iceland Foods and The Food Warehouse stores nationwide.
After being discontinued in 2018, Tango Cherry fans have recently taken to social media to praise its return, with one fan stating how the much-loved beverage “tastes just as good” and another posting “what a day to be alive – Tango Cherry is back”.
Customers came out in their masses to celebrate its return at Iceland’s Hemel Hempstead store, on August 5, which rebranded especially with a full fascia refit for the occasion. The store, aptly renamed as ‘Tangoland’ for a limited time only, invited local customers to sample the new Tango Cherry products and entertained them with a host of exciting launch day activities.
Shoppers were offered the chance to play an interactive Tango Cherry ‘Cherry Picker’ game, which saw them navigate a claw machine to pop all the cherries inside and win exclusive themed prizes.
Area manager Andy Lee said: “We know how much our customers love Tango Cherry, so we’re thrilled to have become the first supermarket to restock it exclusively. We’ve seen an amazing turnout today at our ‘Tangoland’ store in Hemel Hempstead, with products flying off the shelves and so many customers coming down to get involved in our launch day activities.”
James Bartlam, Britvic national account manager, added: “The response to the return of our Cherry Tango has been phenomenal and we’re so pleased that our customers can now pick up this much-loved drink from all Iceland and Food Warehouse stores once again.”
