The Radlett community have come together to provide vital supplies to support Ukraine during the ongoing conflict in the region.
Resident Sharon Roberts, who has been collecting donations at her home to send over, told RadlettNews: “I have to say the folk in and around Radlett, Shenley and Elstree were very generous with their kind donations.
“People put a lot of thought into donating useful items that were much needed in the first instance and I must say I was very humbled by such lovely people that came to my house. I can tell you we had a few tears.”
Council leaders also came together to express their solidarity with Ukraine people on March 3.
The Leader of Hertsmere Borough Council, Cllr Morris Bright MBE, said: “As we continue to see the unfolding horrors across the news channels, our thoughts and sympathies are with everyone impacted by the deplorable events in Ukraine.”
