An American fast-food store has opened in Hemel Hempstead.
A Taco Bell restaurant, which predominantly serves a mixture of Mexican-inspired food such as tacos, burritos and nachos, welcomed its first customers yesterday (October 25).
The restaurant replaces The Hospice of St Francis at 216 Marlowes and sits beside a Caffè Nero.
Lucy Dee, head of marketing at Taco Bell UK, said. “We’re delighted to be able to bring Taco Bell to Hemel Hempstead.
“Hertfordshire has been crying out for more Taco Bells and we’re very pleased to be able to deliver; creating local jobs despite challenging circumstances.”
Customers are able to order in advance via the Taco Bell app, website or third-party delivery platform or use the digital kiosks in-store to takeaway.
Hemel Hempstead residents can receive a free taco offer after downloading the Taco Bell UK app. 100 free tacos were also given out on the opening day to the first 100 customers.
A pleased resident told MyLocalNews: “It’s nice to see new restaurants opening in the town whatever the food. Hemel desperately needs a boost after a lot of recent closures.”
