Wealdstone go seven points clear at the top of the National League South this afternoon (October 26) with a 3-1 victory over Tonbridge Angeles.

It only took 15 minutes to take the lead at The Vale in the form on an own goal.

Michee Efete was looking to find his teammate Dennon Lewis at the by-line but it nicked a deflection off the Tonbridge midfielder Christ Tiehi into his own net.

The scoreline could have been two or three more for Wealdstone at the end of the first half but Tonbridge were able to deal with the ball contemptibly.

Just six minutes into the second half and the away side give away a penalty to The Stones.

Billy Clifford calmly converts from the spot kick to make it 2-0.

At the opposite end of the pitch, The Stone also gave away a penalty in the 60th minute to Tonbridge.

Despite keeper Aston Oxborough getting a hand to the ball, D’Sean Theobald was able to watch the ball slip under his hand into the back of the net.

Dejon Noel-Williams secured the 3-1 victory in the 90th minute, which was also his first goal for the club.

Sitting comfortably at the top of the table, Wealdstone travel to sixth place Dorking next Saturday (November 2).
