A property developer has donated £20,000 to a mental health charity in Watford to support their counselling and coaching across South West Hertfordshire.

The Bugler Group’s sizeable donation will allow Signpost to carry on supporting children aged 11 to 25 who are suffering with a range of mental health issues.

The funding, which was announced on World Mental Health Day (October 10) will be used to provide up to 800 hourly face to face counselling sessions.

Andy Bugler, Bugler Group CEO said: “Charitable donations and giving back to the communities we work within has always been part of Bugler’s DNA.

“October 10 marked a very special day for Bugler, we are extremely pleased to be able to support Signpost in helping them continue their great work in providing counselling and other therapeutic services for children and young people in the area.”

Clare Hearnshaw, Signpost’s chair of the board of trustees said: “This is a very special unprecedented donation from the Bugler Foundation.

“The depth of their investment demonstrates confidence and trust in Signpost’s ability to deliver life-changing mental health services to vulnerable children and young people in Hertfordshire.

“We give heartfelt thanks to the Bugler Foundation for their support which will increase our reach in order to help more young people who are at serious risk of falling through the gaps of mental health care.”
