St Clement Danes School were delighted with their Year 13 students upon receiving their A Level results, with 11 per cent of the cohort achieving A* grades.
Although this year was unlike previous years with students receiving their results through email due to the coronavirus pandemic, of those who did apply to University 67 per cent obtained their first-choice place and 23 per cent their second choice.
Students who chose alternative pathways apprenticeships, employment, GAP year or internships continue to be supported – as in previous years – to take up these opportunities.
Headteacher of the school, Toby Sutherland, stated: “I am so proud of our students who have shown such resilience and patience under the challenging circumstances of recent months. We are absolutely delighted for all of them as they move onto the next stages of their lives and careers. We know our students will make a real positive difference in whatever they choose to do.”
Overall students attained an outstanding 11 per cent A*, 35 per cent A*-A and 65 per cent A*-B grades.
