Madame Tussauds London has revealed a new, first-of-its-kind figure of a Watford legend.
Unveiled in December, the figure depicts iconic singer Sir Elton John CBE in a gravity-defying position.
Sir Elton is known for his flamboyance and incredible showmanship and has achieved two diamond, 43 platinum or multi-platinum, and 26 gold albums.
The singer is also a Watford legend, having been chairman and director of Watford FC. The town has commemorated his significant impact through murals and even the renaming of a street ‘Yellow Brick Road’ after his iconic song.
Steve Blackburn, general manager at Madame Tussauds London, said: “Sir Elton John is a true living legend and a dazzling personality to behold, so we knew we had to go above and beyond for this figure.
“Capturing Elton’s phenomenal stage presence – and that iconic keyboard handstand – in figure form is quite the challenge, and the result is one of our most technically ambitious figures to date.”
