STAY AWAY: Closure orders dished out to two properties

Published on: 4th November 2026   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category: Featured

Two properties in Bushey have been slapped with closure orders following reports of anti-social behaviour.

A house in Palmer Avenue was granted a three-month partial closure order at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on September 25, following numerous reports of anti-social behaviour.

This followed a flat in Farrington Avenue also being given a three-month partial closure order at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on September 16, after reports of “prolonged and persistent” anti-social behaviour being committed by young people.

Sergeant Gary Yam, from the Hertsmere Community Safety Unit, said: “I hope this news reassures residents that we understand the impact that anti-social behaviour has on your quality of life.

“These closure orders will offer you some respite from the issues that were occurring and we’ll be carrying out further work to ensure the problems are dealt with for good.”

Only named tenants and authorised personnel, such as emergency services, can enter properties subject to partial closure orders. Breaching a closure order is an arrestable and imprisonable offence.
