A woman labelled a ‘Russian spy’ after a relationship with a Spanish commander at Northwood HQ has asked Hertfordshire Police to reopen a criminal investigation first reported in September 2025.
Janina White, who lived with the unnamed officer in Ruislip, believes Herts Police must now investigate allegations she previously raised about unfair treatment inside the headquarters, which coincided with her former partner losing security access last year.
The Russian-born British-Polish dual national, who featured on MyNewsMags last month, has spent 14 months seeking answers from authorities over how rumours about her became a security concern.
The 50-year-old claims this tag led to her being labelled a “trespasser” at the headquarters in August 2025 and alleges it damaged her relationship and the commander’s career.
Speaking to Northwood&RuislipNews, Ms White said: “What happened during all these months is that Herts Police absolutely compromised themselves. I now have new evidence.
“I was asking very simple questions. ‘Why are you saying that I was under investigation?’”
Ms White has launched a data-protection claim against the Chief Constable of Herts Police and separate proceedings concerning decisions and conduct connected with the Ministry of Defence.
On October 29, Ms White said: “Herts Police has now stated it does not adopt the OPCC’s conclusion that my conduct meant that ‘a criminal offence had taken place’.”
Herts Police said: “As Ms White has issued proceedings for a civil claim against Herts Police, it would be inappropriate to comment at this time.”
Ministry of Defence has also been contacted for comment.
