Kings Langley FC saw off Rushall Olympic on Saturday, February 22, thanks to a second half goal from Gary Connolly.
It was King’s first game for two weeks, after three of their fixtures were postponed due to the recent poor weather.
Chris Cummins’ men finally got the opportunity to extend their unbeaten run which, and still are yet to lose a game in 2020.
The game went ahead despite more poor weather, Will Hoskins had the best chance of the first half after good work from Mitchell Weiss, but the effort was just wide.
Gary Connolly got the opening goal on the 52nd minute, when his magnificent effort hit the top corner of Rushall’s net, giving Kings’ a deserved lead.
Edu Pendred almost doubled the away side’s advantage on the 74th minute, but the effort was well saved by the goalkeeper, who had definitely been brought into action the most out of the two number ones.
Kings held on in the end for another big three points, as their fight for a play-off spot heats up.
They are back in action at home next weekend as they welcome Coalville Town The Orbital Fasteners Stadium.
