A pop-up construction skills centre in Watford for both military veterans and local groups launched last month.

Regal London, in an exclusive partnership with Building Heroes, launched their first Regal London Real Estate Academy, with a pop-up construction skills centre on Clarendon Road.

Each year, the academy will provide training and job opportunities to approximately 160 military veterans and people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the area who are trying to find work.

The Academy will host programmes running for five weeks. Learners will secure a Level 1 Diploma in construction skills, a L1 Health & Safety Award and a CSCS Card.

Jonathan Seal, CEO at Regal London said: “The extensive skills shortages in the construction sector have been widely documented. Our Academies will provide new opportunities for learners to join the construction sector and to continue to build a career, whether for the first time, mid-career or

Brendan Williams, Founder and Chief Executive at Building Heroes said: “With over 15,000 veterans entering the wider workforce this year, the launch of the Regal London Real Estate Academies comes at an opportune moment.”
