MEDICAL EMERGENCY: Person rushed to hospital after falling ill at Marlowes Shopping Centre in Hemel Hempstead

A person was rushed to hospital after an incident at Marlowes Shopping Centre in Hemel Hempstead on Saturday, April 30.

An ambulance, rapid response vehicle, paramedics and an air ambulance were all dispatched to the scene to deal with a medical emergency in the town centre at around 11am on Saturday morning as crowds gathered and were moved on by police.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to Marlowes Shopping Centre in Hemel Hempstead at 10.49am on Saturday, April 30 with reports of a medical emergency. An ambulance, rapid response vehicle, a senior paramedic in a support vehicle, medics from Beds & Herts Emergency Critical Care Scheme and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. The patient was transported by land to Harefield Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”

Hertfordshire Police were made aware of a medical incident in the area and officers attended to assist the ambulance service at the scene.
