SAVE THE DATE: Annual Croxley Green festival returns to celebrate midsummer

Published on: 12th April 2023   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

The date of this year’s long-awaited Croxley Revels has been confirmed as Saturday, June 17.

The village’s annual celebration of midsummer attracts thousands of visitors every year and will take place on The Green from 1pm until 5pm.

The event is a time-honoured tradition in Croxley and is held on the afternoon of the Saturday closest to the summer solstice. The first modern Revels took place in 1920.

Residents and visitors can expect an array of local shopping and food stalls, fairground rides, arena performances, maypole dancing, and a full-on pushball tournament.

Parish councillor Stephen Crabtree, who is a member of the Revels committee, said: “It’s a great family day, so come and celebrate being part of the community!”

Applications are currently open for those wanting to be stallholders at the festival. To find out more, please visit www.croxleyrevels.co.uk
