A unique hobby artist from Northwood will be exhibiting over 50 of his paintings in town later this year.
Marty Berg, who is a member of Pinner sketch Club, Hillingdon Artists and the Watford & Bushey Art Society, creates all his paintings from various photos which he blends together, taking various parts from each image.
He also creates artistic photos, which he alters to have a painted look.
He’s known for his colourful acrylic paintings of imaginary and real landscapes, still life, seascapes and surreal, plus experimental paintings.
After exhibiting his work at various shows across around Hillingdon and Oxfordshire with the aforementioned art clubs, Marty is thrilled to be holding his own exhibition at Northwood & Pinner Liberal Synagogue, 18-24 Oaklands Gate, from March 2 to April 14 with an opening on Sunday, March 15 from 2-4pm.
Marty, a graphic designer who majored in art at Los Angeles City College before moving to England with his British wife and son in 1971, is always keen to meet those who buy his artwork. He has found that children in particular take to his varying use of colours and ability to draw animals.
