Watford MP Richard Harrington is urging local residents to spread the word to people they may know that are suffering with nerve damage or injury after recently visiting Neurokinex. Neurokinex, on Rhodes Way, Watford, provide neurological activity-based rehabilitation, and are the leading centre in the UK with a unique approach to help those suffering with paralysis or partial paralysis. Jo Godfrey, who manages the Watford centre, explained that they gain a number of referrals from local Hospitals and other health professionals – but the bulk of referrals come by word of mouth and from personal recommendations. Mr Harrington backed Jo’s call for Watford residents to spread the word to family and friends who may benefit from the work that Neurokinex’s work as they have a ‘hidden gem’ right here in the heart of Watford that may be able to offer them a different kind of support and rehabilitation. His visit coincided with the announcement that Neurokinex will be expanding, with five brand new satellite centres due to open throughout the UK, with Watford remaining the main and largest branch. Mr Harrington said: “It is fantastic news that Neurokinex are expanding throughout the UK and that more people will be able to benefit. It really is incredible to think that we have this right here on our doorstep in Watford and I cannot commend Jo and her team highly enough for the incredible work which they are doing, speaking to people and their families today has proven just how valued Neurokinex is and what a difference it is making to people’s lives’ Jo added: “It’s great to be in Watford and building such strong links with the people of Watford is important to the growth of the organisation.
