A photography exhibition by the former chairman of Three Rivers District Council closes next week. Les Mead’s display includes photographs from his work as a semi-professional photographer and film maker, with images from around the world, taken in China, India, South America and Europe. Other pictures were taken by Carol Mead, Sue Lacey and Victor Shack with pictures of the Three Rivers community during his last year as Council Chairman. The pictures in the exhibition are now on sale for a £50 donation each, of which 100 per cent of sales revenue will go to charity. The exhibition was held in aid of Les’ chosen charities, the Three Rivers Museum and the Watford Peace Hospice, for which he fundraised during his term as Chairman, a non-political role. Active Air’s Jeff Simon said: “It’s a really impressive collection of Les’ term in office. Les has caught many special moments during his term as well as from his travels in other parts of the world.” Exhibition photographs and other pictures by Les can be viewed at www.flickr.com/photos/chairmanlesmead/
