A Bedfordshire man has raised more than £6,000 for the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre (PSSC).

Rick Wilmott has taken part in multiple events to raise money for the Northwood-based centre.

Two of these events took place in September, the first of which was The Big Half Marathon on Sunday, September 3. Rick raced 13.1 kilometres through Central London and raised more than £1,000.

The second event was the Vitality 10k on Sunday, September 24, for which Rick was joined by his sister Kirstie Wilmott and his friend Sam Bridge. Together, they raised more than £1,000.

Altogether, Rick has raised more than £6,000.

Rick said: “PSSC is a charity close to my heart as not only did they look after my dad before he passed away, but they are also looking after my mum.”
