IGNORING INSTRUCTIONS: Concerns as residents head to Kings Langley park during lockdown

Published on: 26th March 2020   |   By: Amneet Kaur   |   Category: Uncategorized

A local resident has took to social media to complain about people still going to Nap Park in Kings Langley on the first day of lockdown.

The anonymous resident saw numerous children and parents still out enjoying the sun at the park even though the whole of the UK is meant to be in lockdown.

The person expressed concerns over the fact that by going out they are putting people’s lives at risk, especially the elderly and the vulnerable.

The resident said: “It is really important for people to avoid leaving the house, especially to go to playgrounds as the virus lives on metal for three days.”

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on March 23 that the country would go on a lockdown for three weeks.

People should only go out of their home to exercise once a day, to travel to and from work where “absolutely necessary”, to shop for essential items, and for medical care.

If the guidelines given by the PM are not followed, police has the power to enforce them.
