The White Lion in Amersham was awarded Tripadvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Award.
The pub is among the top 10 per cent of listings across the website and was recognised for consistently receiving positive reviews.
The winners are chosen based on the quality and quantity of reviews and ratings posted between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2022.
Listings have to go through an additional editorial process and meet a number of requirements. They must have been listed for at least a year, receive a certain number of reviews within that period and keep the minimum bubble rating.
The pub was presented with a certificate from Tripadvisor to honour their achievement. This is the first time that they have received an award.
General manager, Heather Odell said: “Myself and the team are very pleased to have won this award as we always put our all into everything we do and want to make everyone’s visit to us the best it can be. It is so lovely hearing and seeing all of our guests’ reviews, and it means so much to us that they love what we do and offer.
“There are so many of our customers who keep coming back and we have been able to create great relationships with them all. Thank you to everyone who supports us and contributed to us receiving this award.”
The White Lion recently launched a new menu and hosts a weekly quiz night on Mondays.
The dog-friendly pub is located on White Lion Road and is open seven days a week.
