POTHOLE PEEVE: Resurfacing plan in Harrow is underway but residents are still concerned

London Borough of Harrow’s £10million road resurfacing program is underway, but residents are still concerned over several pothole-ridden roads in Pinner that are not included in the plan.

The borough’s social media account has been updating locals with videos of the roads that have already been given a facelift, highlighting their plan to resurface more than 60 roads and pavements in the next few months.

But Pinner resident Jas Kahlon has raised concerns about the potholes on Hill Road in Pinner, which is not on the list to be resurfaced despite numerous complaints.

Jas told Pinner News: “Hill Road’s potholes are a complete disgrace, and despite numerous reports to the council, no action has been taken to address the issue.”

Pinner News reported on the potholes on Hill Road in May, when a resident claimed they had had to pay £1,500 to fix the damage caused to their car after driving over the potholes. Jas has used the article in her interactions with council representatives to plead for action to be taken.

Jas said: “Surprisingly, the recent allocation of £10million for road resurfacing does not include Hill Road. The road’s condition is so bad that it is comparable to roads in less developed countries.”

Harrow Council has been contacted for comment.
