Police are appealing for witnesses and information following arson attack in Watford which caused thousands of pounds worth of damage. A black Ford Fiesta and a white Nissan Note were set alight on the driveway of a property in Cherrydale at around 3pm on Sunday, January 11. As a result the window of the property was melted and both vehicles were completely burnt out. Detective Constable Judith Muskett is investigating and said: “At this stage it is unclear as to how many people may have been involved and I would ask anyone who was in the area to contact me if they saw or heard anything suspicious. “Thankfully the fire brigade prevented this fire from spreading further however; thousands of pounds of damage have been caused by these mindless actions. If you know anything which could help identify the offender(s) please call me.” Anyone with any information should contact DC Muskett at Watford Local Crime Unit via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number C1/15/173. Alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 55 111.
