Joint work from police across Northwood and Ruislip has seen two individuals arrested for immigration offences.
Members of the Northwood, Northwood Hills, Ruislip and South Ruislip Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNTs) carried out a joint operation on Thursday, September 28, patrolling Ruislip’s High Street alongside Met Police immigration officers.
The police were there specifically to speak to individuals who have been breaching the terms of their visas.
Posting on social media, the Ruislip SNT declared the operation to be a success, with two arrests made.
Earlier the same month, Northwood’s SNT team engaged on another joint operation with the Met’s mounted division and traffic unit, Thames Valley Police and the Horse Society.
They patrolled Ducks Hill Road in an initiative to teach drivers how to safely pass a horse in their vehicle. Several vehicles were stopped by officers and spoken to after driving too fast or passing too close to the horse.
