Three people have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after a teenager had his phone stolen in Watford.
The incident occurred at around 7.30pm on Friday, May 23, where it is alleged that three people approached the 16-year-old victim and punched him multiple times before taking his mobile phone and leaving in an unknown direction.
Police have arrested a 17-year-old male from Birmingham and two 17-year-old males from Watford, who have been released on conditional bail while enquiries are continuing.
Detectives from the Local Crime Unit are now exploring the possibility that similar incidents happened in the same location on that day, which people have yet to report to police. They are now appealing to the public for more information and potential victims.
Detective Constable Sion Davies from the Watford Local Crime Unit said: “We have made three arrests in connection to the investigation, which I hope the community find reassuring, and our enquiries are progressing.
“We’re now appealing to try and identify the owner of a bike (pictured) which was recovered as part of our investigation and believed to have been stolen.
“If this is your bike, or you have any information relating to a similar incident in Cassiobury Park or the surrounding roads, please contact me by emailing sion.davies@herts.police.uk, quoting crime reference 41/47312/25.”
