POLICE APPEAL: Public asked for information after door damaged during burglary in Watford

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary in Watford.

The incident occurred in Hatfield Road between 1pm and 3.30pm on Wednesday, March 22.

It was reported that damage had been caused to the main entrance door of a property before entry was forced to one of the flats inside. A search was carried out and items were taken.

Detective Constable Julie Vint, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing at this time, including house-to-house visits and a review of CCTV.

“As part of the investigation, we’re also appealing for anyone with information to please come forward. Did you witness any suspicious activity in the area around the times stated? Did you capture anything of note on a dashcam? If you have any information at all, please get in touch.”
