The unexpected death of a Watford woman has prompted detectives to launch an appeal on October 21 for witnesses to come forward with information.
Police were called to an address on Ashby Road by the ambulance service at around 1.40am on September 28 after welfare concerns were raised due to a woman becoming unresponsive.
Kelsey Smith, who was aged 36, was then taken to hospital, where she died a short time later.
Despite her death being treated as “not suspicious”, officers remain eager to understand the full circumstances of the night’s events – including any information about her from the days before it occurred.
Detective Inspector Tom Hassell said: “We’re asking anyone who saw or spoke to Kelsey in the days leading up to her death, from Friday, September 18 onwards, to please get in touch. Or if you have any other information which you think may be of importance, please contact us.
“Our thoughts remain with Kelsey and those who knew her at this incredibly difficult time. Understandably, we want to make sure we are giving them all the answers they need.”
Her family have asked that their privacy be respected at this time.
