A Tring resident is preparing for his 295th fundraising challenge.
Over the last five decades, Matt Kirby has donated £10,000 and collected more than 10,000 food items for different organisations and charities as part of his Food and Sport for All project.
In September, Matt will cycle from the Tower of London to the Colosseum in Rome, which is around 2,200km, in five different stages.
He said: “Can I complete it? To be honest, I’m really not sure, so I have divided it into stages and will see how it goes.
“I may go further or I may have to go back to this challenge. I have some time!”
Then in December, Matt is planning on walking the 160km coastal path around the Isle of Man.
He is aiming to raise £5,000 for the Arctic One Foundation and collect 5,000 food items for the Trussell Trust and its food banks, thanks to a jam-packed schedule of hiking and cycling.
