Police activity in Abbots village as two men arrested

Police cars and helicopters could be heard over Abbots Langley recently as several businesses were targeted, including a tattoo shop.

Herts Police confirmed that two men were arrested and are currently in custody following the burglaries on the night of January 23. A police dog was involved in the arrest of one of the men. One of the targeted premises was I Aint No Saint tattoo shop.

Police also confirmed that  no one else was sought in connection with the burglaries.

Helicopters were said to be heard over Marlin Square, High Street and Abbots Road, and police were thought to have been chasing one of the suspects at the back of Causeway House, off High Street.

Residents took to the Facebook group Abbots Langley Matters to praise the police for the swift work they did to apprehend the two men.

Herts Police said authorities were also in the area after concerns for a woman’s welfare.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called to an address in High Street, Abbots Langley, due to concerns for the welfare of a woman. Officers attended and all was in order. The woman has been referred to the mental health team.”
