Officers investigating a collision in St Albans are appealing for information and witnesses.

At around 1.30pm on Monday, January 22, a silver Volkswagen Golf was involved in a collision with a silver or white-coloured Ford car at the Park Street roundabout junction with Watling Street.

The driver of the Ford failed to stop at the scene.

PC Simon Totten, who is investigating, said: “We are working to identify the driver of the vehicle that failed to stop and I’m appealing for anyone who saw the collision or has information that could help us to locate the motorist to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Totten by emailing simon.totten@herts.pnn.police.uk, calling the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 443 of January 22 or report information online at www.herts.police.uk/report

Alternatively, you can contact the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will never need to go to court.
